Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Oriens Wealth (“Oriens,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use our portfolio-tracking platform (the “Service”). Oriens is an invite-only service that lets you connect your brokerage and financial accounts to see your holdings, transactions, and performance in one place.
Who we are and how to contact us
Oriens Wealth provides portfolio tracking and reporting. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, please reach us through our Contact page.
Information we collect
- Profile & account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address to create and secure your account.
- Financial & holdings data. When you connect a brokerage or financial account, we receive account details, holdings, transactions, balances, and related investment data for the accounts you authorize.
- Usage information. Basic technical and usage data (such as pages viewed and actions taken in the app) needed to operate and secure the Service.
How we collect it
- Directly from you — when you sign in and use the Service.
- Through our data providers — when you choose to connect an account, financial data is retrieved on your behalf through Plaid and SnapTrade (see below). You authorize each connection; we do not access accounts you have not connected.
Third-party data providers
Oriens uses the following providers to securely connect to your financial institutions. Your use of these connections is also governed by their own end-user policies:
- Plaid. See Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy.
- SnapTrade (operated by Passiv Inc.). See the SnapTrade End User Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
When you connect an account, your login credentials for that institution are handled by Plaid or SnapTrade and are not stored by Oriens. Access tokens that let us retrieve your authorized data are stored encrypted.
How we use your data
We use your information only to provide and improve the Service:
- To display your holdings, transactions, balances, and performance across your connected accounts.
- To calculate portfolio analytics and reports at your request (analysis is user-initiated, not automated financial advice).
- To operate, secure, maintain, and support your account.
We do not sell, rent, mine, or repackage your personal or financial data, and we do not store or redistribute market-data feeds. We do not use your data for advertising.
How we store and secure your data
Your data is stored in a managed Microsoft Azure SQL database. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, and sensitive credentials such as connection access tokens are additionally encrypted at the application layer. Access is restricted to the systems and personnel needed to operate the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.
How your data is shared
We share your data only as needed to run the Service — for example, with the infrastructure and data providers described above (Microsoft Azure, Plaid, SnapTrade) that process data on our behalf, or where required by law. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you disconnect an account, you can have its imported history removed; when you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your associated personal and financial data, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Your rights and choices, including deletion
- Disconnect at any time. You can disconnect any connected account from your Settings, which stops further data retrieval and lets you remove that account’s imported history.
- Delete your account. You may request deletion of your entire account and associated data by contacting us through the Contact page.
- Access and correction. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you or ask us to correct it.
Cookies and sessions
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service securely. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children
The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for, individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
